1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all sales, quotations, and services provided by SA Steel Yard (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“the customer”). By purchasing goods or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not proceed with an order or use our website.

2. Quotations and Pricing

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice due to material cost fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or supplier adjustments. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors or omissions at any time.

3. Orders and Payment

Orders may be placed via phone, email, or through our website. Full payment is required prior to dispatch or pickup, unless a trade account arrangement has been approved. Accepted payment methods include EFT, credit card, or other methods as advised.

Once an order is confirmed, any cancellation must be approved by SA Steel Yard and may incur a cancellation or restocking fee.

4. Custom and Fabricated Orders

Custom-cut, fabricated, or special-order products are non-refundable once production has commenced. We will confirm specifications and measurements before proceeding. SA Steel Yard is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.

5. Delivery and Pickup

Delivery times are estimates only. While we make every effort to meet requested timeframes, delays may occur due to transport conditions or supplier availability. Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery or collection from our premises.

Customers must ensure suitable site access and unloading facilities for heavy goods. If delivery cannot be completed due to access or customer unavailability, redelivery fees may apply.

6. Title of Goods

Ownership of goods remains with SA Steel Yard until full payment is received and cleared. Until payment is complete, the customer must store goods securely and not remove or resell them without written consent.

7. Warranties and Quality

All products are inspected before dispatch. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Minor defects or variations (such as mill finish differences or surface marks) are not considered major faults in steel products.

Please refer to our Shipping & Returns Policy for full details. Change-of-mind returns may be accepted at our discretion and must comply with our return conditions.

9. Limitation of Liability

SA Steel Yard’s total liability arising out of or in connection with goods or services is limited to the replacement or repair of the goods, or a refund of the purchase price. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of profit, downtime, or project delays.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased materials are suitable for their intended purpose.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including logos, designs, text, and images, are the intellectual property of SA Steel Yard. They may not be reproduced or used without our written consent.

11. Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
